Minnie Hix Stafford

Graveside services for Mrs. Minnie Hix Stafford, 84, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3 P.M. - 7 P.M., and Wednesday from 9 A.M. until time to leave for the graveside service. She passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2010, at Mabry Health Care Center in Gainesboro, TN. She was born December 29, 1925, in Jackson County, TN, to the late William Fred Hix and Lillie Denton Hix. She was married to the late John L. "Yank" Stafford. She was a waitress at the City Caf in Gainesboro, TN, and a member of the Gipson Avenue Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Sisters: Oval Mai Flatt and Dorothy Sadler; and 5 Brothers: Earl E. Hix, Fred Hix, Jr., Leamon Hix, Robert Hix, and Sib Eldon Hix. Survivors include 1 Sister: Alma Jean Hix of Whitleyville, TN; and 2 Sisters-in-Law: Ruby Jean Hix of Red Boiling Springs, TN, and Dorothy Faye Hix of Donelson, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Bro. Tom Bilbrey will officiate at the services.
