Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Burgess Brown, 95, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, September 6, 2019, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Friday from 9 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at Livingston Regional Hospital in Livingston, TN. She was born March 10, 1924, in Jackson County, TN, to the late James Madison Burgess and America Susanna Burgess. She was married to the late Bob W. Brown, who passed away April 3, 1994. She was a factory worker, and also worked at the Jackson County Health Department. She was a member of the Northeast Church of Christ in Cookeville, TN. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: James Verlon Brown; 3 Brothers; and 8 Sisters. Survivors include 1 Son: Ronald "Butch" Brown of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters: Peggy Crabtree and Robbie Jackson, both of Gainesboro, TN; 7 Grandchildren: James Robert Brown, Bruce Brown, Donna Flowers, Joanna Vaden, Robert Flatt, Jason Flatt, and Joey Pigg; 7 Great Grandchildren: Jonathan Flowers, Tiffanye Brown, Justin Vaden, Cassidy Flatt, Jasalin Flatt, Wyatt Flatt, and Luke Flatt; 3 Great Great Grandchildren: Brantley, Bethany, and Bryce Flowers; and 1 Daughter in Law: Mabel Brown of Cookeville, TN.
