Mike Whitaker was born June 15, 1962, in TN, and he passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN, at the age of 61.
Mike was the son of James Donald Whitaker and Patsy Rush Whitaker. He was a machinist by trade. He was a member of Dudney's Hill Church of Christ in Gainesboro, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Michael Donald Whitaker, Jr.
Survivors include his son: Matthew Whitaker of Gainesboro, TN; daughter: Logan (Tyler) Williams of Gainesboro, TN; stepdaughter: Jacklyn (Nathan) Miller; brother: Jim (Freda) Whitaker of Gainesboro, TN; sisters: Debbie Whitaker of Gainesboro, TN and Sandra Vann of Lewisburg, TN; fiancé: Arlene Presley of Murfreesboro, TN; mother of his children: Mary McCoin of Gainesboro, TN; grandchildren: McKenzie Miller, Noah Miller, Addyson Marsh, Jaxson Williams, and Brayden Williams; nieces and nephews: Keisha (Timmy) McCoin, James Head, Jamie Whitaker, Jennifer (Chad) Scott, and Brandon Whitaker.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 25, 2024, beginning at 1 pm until 7 pm and Friday, January 26, 2024, 1 pm until 7 pm. Saturday, January 27, 2024, visitation will begin at 10 am until time of services. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 2 pm in the Chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Strong officiating. Burial will follow in Pharris Cemetery in Gainesboro, TN.
