Funeral services for Michael A. Ellis, 32, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, July 14, 2012, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12 Noon - 9 P. M., Friday from 12 Noon - 9 P.M., and on Saturday from 9 A. M. until time of services. He passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, as a result of an automobile accident. He was born December 5, 1979, in Cookeville, TN, to Curtis Ellis and Shirley Scott. He was an automotive detailer, and a member of the McCoinsville Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Gary Curtis Ellis, Jr.; his Paternal Grandparents: Gurstle and Easter Ellis; and his Maternal Grandfather: Bobby Brown. Survivors include his Parents: Curtis Ellis of Gainesboro, TN, and Shirley (Ronnie) Scott of Gainesboro, TN; his Grandparents: Melvin and Sue Jared of Gainesboro, TN; his Step-Grandmother: Thelma Petty of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Step - Brother: Phillip Scott of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Sister: Jennifer Brown of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Nephew: Blake Ballard; and 1 Niece: Gracie Brown. Several aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson and Bro. Matthew Scoggins will officiate at the services.
