Funeral services for Mrs. Mayzell Flatt Mayberry, 73, of Cookeville, TN and formerly of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, October 18, 2012, at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4 - 9 P.M. and on Thursday from 9 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at her residence in Cookeville, TN. She was the daughter of the late Harvey and Lura Stout Flatt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Mayberry. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Wanda Cherry; 3 Brothers: Garner C., James, and Bernice Flatt; and 1 Sister: Edna Brown. Survivors include 1 Daughter: Rhonda (Eugene) Heady of Cookeville, TN; 1 Son-in-law: Bobby M. Cherry of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Cody and Noah Heady and Shannon Elliot; 1 Great-Grandchild: Angel Heady; 2 Brothers: Winfred Flatt and Ernest Flatt, both of Gainesboro, TN; and 1 Sister: Bunie (Ray) Stafford of Gainesboro, TN.
