Funeral services for Mrs. Maurine Q. Cassetty, 100, formerly of Jackson County, Tennessee, will be held at 12 Noon on Tuesday, November 27, 2007, at Gainesboro First United Methodist Church in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. . Mrs. Cassetty passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2007, at her daughter's residence in Chattanooga, TN. She was born July 18, 1907, in Whitleyville, TN, to the late Dr. John Dillard Quarles and Rosa Mai Willmore Quarles. She was married to the late Bradley Carl Cassetty. She was a former teacher in Jackson County and a longtime resident of the Cookeville area, where she was employed by the University of Tennessee Agricultural Extension Service. She was a graduate of Tennessee Technological University, where she received a degree in Home Economics. Survivors include 1 Daughter and Son-in-law: Barbara A. and John Hestand of Chattanooga, TN; 2 Grandsons: John Brent and James Bradley Hestand, both of Chattanooga, TN; and 1 Sister: Frances Quarles of Whitleyville, TN.
