Funeral services for Matthew Roscoe Barley, 28, of Melvindale, Michigan, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, December 29, 2007, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Young Cemetery in the Center Grove community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Friday from 3 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2007, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He was born October 8, 1979, in Lincoln Park, MI, to Lois K. Young and the late Johnny C. Barley. He was an auto mechanic, a member of the Moose Lodge in Michigan, and was of the Presbyterian faith. He was preceded in death by his Father: Johnny C. Barley. Survivors include his Parents: Lois K. and Vanis B. Young of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Brother: Guy Adam Barley of Rippey, Iowa; 1 Sister and Brother-in-law: Sharon Ann and Michael Portelli of Detroit, MI; 2 Aunts and 2 Uncles: Donald and Donna Wofford of Michigan, and Ann and Jack Conrad of KY; 1 Cousin: Harrison Wofford; and Friend: Bill. .
