Maston "Matt" Forkum

Funeral services for Maston “Matt” Forkum, Jr., 91, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at 1 P.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Monday, November 16, 2020, at Mabry Health Care Center. He was born January 10, 1929, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Maston Forkum and Grace Law Forkum. On May 30, 1953, he was married to the late Helen Mathis Forkum, who passed away June 5, 2009. He was a dental technician and golfer, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Sisters: Jerldine Huffines and Joyce Forkum Wright. Survivors include 1 Son: Mark Edward (Tracie) Forkum of Hermitage, TN; 1 Daughter: Cathy (Sammy) Arms of Deer Lodge, TN; 1 Grandchild: Alexa (Tim) Kamer Liberty of TN; 1 Great Grandchild: Cornelia Grace Kamer Liberty of TN; and a host of family and friends. Bro. Keith Price will officiate at the services. Memorial donations may be made to Happy Haven Home or the Wounded Warriors Project by contacting the funeral home.
