Funeral services for Mary Sue Hunter, 62, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Burris Cemetery in the Cummins Mill community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3 P.M. to 8 P.M., and on Wednesday from 9 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2017, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born June 12, 1954, in Jackson County, TN, to Boon Hunter and the late Mary E. Hunter. She was a homemaker. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by 2 Sisters: Wanda Joyce Finnell and Rita Faye Ledbetter; and 1 Brother: Robert Lee Hunter. Survivors include her Loving Companion: George Kunkle of Cookeville, TN; 3 Sons: Eugene Irvin Heady, Danny Lee Heady, and David Doyle Stafford, all of Cookeville, TN; 1 Daughter: Charlotte Dunn; her Father: Boon Hunter of Cookeville, TN; 2 Brothers: Tommy Hunter and Larry Hunter, both of Cookeville, TN; 9 Grandchildren; and 1 Great Grandchild.
