Mary Richards

Mary Helen Richards was born March 29, 1939 in Jackson County, TN and she passed away at Cookeville Regional Medical Center on Monday, December 5, 2022 at the age of 83.  

Mary was the daughter of Edd Thomas Young and  Stella Mai Mahaney Young.  She was retired from Crotty Corp in Gainesboro and attended the New Hope Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Tommy Young, U.L. Young, Willie E. Young, Sarah F. Wright, Roger L. Young, Alvin Clay Young, Linda F. Brown and Wanda E. Young.

Survivors include daughters,  Tracy (David) Madison and Susan (Tony) Ballentine both of Gainesboro; brothers, Danny Young of Union, OH and Eddie Young of Gainesboro; sisters, June Young of Huber Heights, OH and Alta Mai Miller of Centerville, OH; grandchildren, Anthony, Andrea and Andrew Ballentine; Adam Richards and Adriane Madison; great grandchildren, Abriana Ballentine, Anthony Ballentine, Allie Ballentine, Ariana Williams, Alexis Kate Ballentine, Brycen, Brayden, Braelyn Ballentine, Annabelle Kowalski, CaddyMai Lewis and Cali Lewis.  Nieces and nephews and many friends also survive.

Visitation will be Friday, December 9, 2022,  4-8 pm and again on Saturday 9 am to 10 am.  Funeral services will be conducted at 10 am Saturday, December 10, 2022 in the Chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Heady officiating.  Burial will follow in John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery.
