Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Rachel Lynn, 86, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, October 8, 2011, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Chaffin Cemetery in the Roaring River community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at Mabry Health Care Center in Gainesboro, TN. She was born April 22, 1925, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Albert Lynn and Eva Grace Lynn. On September 1, 1949, she was married to the late Kermith Rexford Lynn, who passed away September 8, 2010. She was a homemaker. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 4 Brothers: James Lynn, Roger Lynn, Johnny Joe Lynn, and Jack Lynn; and 1 Sister: Ada Sue Hawkins. Survivors include a Special Great Niece: Marlana Lemmons of Gainesboro, TN;4 Nieces: Barbara Ann Frasier and Beverly Barlow, both of Sparta, TN, Betty Jo Apple of Nashville, TN, and Janice Elrod of North Carolina; 5 Nephews: Bobby Lynn of Gainesboro, TN, Johnny Lynn, Jr. and Steve Lynn, both of Oak Ridge, TN, Jack Lynn, Jr. of Chicago, IL, and Jerry Hawkins of Cookeville, TN; other great and great - great nieces and nephews; and Special Family Friends: Jamie Stacy, and Johnny & Faye Pigg. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lynn family by contacting the funeral home.
