Mary Hawkins Pippin

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Alice Hawkins Pippin, 93, of Bloomington Springs, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Byers Cemetery in the Center Grove community. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5 P.M. - 9 P.M., Tuesday from 3 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Wednesday from 9 A.M until time of services. Mrs. Pippin passed away on Monday, December 8, 2008, at NHC Health Care in Cookeville, TN. She was born October 16, 1915, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Alec and Addie Frances Flatt. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Center Grove Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husbands: Leonard Estel Martin, Williard Schleeter, George Hawkins, and Clyde Pippin; 2 Brothers: Harrison Boyd Flatt and 1 infant brother; 2 Sisters: Virgie Lee Flatt and 1 infant sister; 2 Grandchildren: Jason Bohannon and Ricky Martin; and 1 Son-in-law: Roy Bohannon. Survivors include 2 Sons: Harold (Betty) Martin of Gainesboro, TN, and Eddie Hawkins of Bloomington Springs, TN; 4 Daughters: Marie Schmitt of Port Richie, FL, Doris (Hollis) Martin and Barbara Bohannon, all of Bloomington Springs, TN, and Jennie Carr of Cookeville, TN; 2 Sisters: Bessie Young of Gainesboro, TN, and Ava Hogan of Iron City, TN; 9 Grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
