Mary Goolsby Wheeler

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Anne Goolsby Wheeler, 65, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, June 26, 2010, at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Lynn Cemetery in the Burristown community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Friday from 3 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Saturday from 9 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2010, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born November 16, 1944, in Knoxville, TN, to the late James Herman Goolsby and Ruby Jewel Goolsby. On January 21, 1961, she was married to the late Edward Wheeler, who passed away May 14, 2000. She was a factory worker, and a member of the Gainesboro First Baptist Church. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Sister: Linda Sue Goolsby. Survivors include 1 Son: Lewis (Jennifer) Wheeler of Cookeville, TN; 1 Daughter: Jeanette (Charles) Smith of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Lewis Tracey Smith and fiance, Jessica Bronson, Savana Jeanette Wheeler, and Lillian Conner Wheeler; 3 Brothers: James (Betty) Goolsby and Carl Steven (Dana) Goolsby, all of Athens, AL; and Edward Goolsby of Wisconsin; and 2 Sisters: Betty (Edward) Smith of Athens, AL, and Darlene Land & Brett Chambers of Nashville, TN. Several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
