Mary Allen

Funeral services for Mary Allen, 79, of the Shiloh community of Jackson County, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday, July 3, 2020, at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Byers Cemetery in the Center Grove community. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Friday from 11 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born March 24, 1941, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Elvis Clinton and Bertha Garrison Clinton. On July 7, 1962, she was married to Joe Willard Allen, who survives. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Shiloh Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Dave Clinton and James “Dick” Clinton; and 3 Sisters: Wilma Scott, Bonnie Clinton, and Johnnie Spell. Survivors include her Husband: Joe Willard Allen of the Shiloh community of Jackson County, TN; 1 Son: Jeff (Kim) Allen of Cookeville, TN; 2 Daughters: Joey Allen and Jody (Clint) DeWeese, all of Cookeville, TN; 2 Brothers: Charles Rod Clinton of Cookeville, TN, and Harvey Clinton of Hohenwald, TN; 2 Sisters: Mildred Smith and Lisa Mayberry, both of Cookeville, TN; 2 Grandchildren: Joshua Allen and Ryelee DeWeese; several nieces, nephews, and other friends. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
