Funeral services for Mr. Marvin Tidwell, 78, of Dayton, Ohio, will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, February 4, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Turkeytown Cemetery in Hilham, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 P.M. - 9 P.M. Mr. Tidwell passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2009, at his residence. He was born June 10, 1930, in Hilham, TN, to the late Noah and Velma Harris Tidwell. He was a machinist in auto parts manufacturing. He was retired from Apex Tools following 36 years of service. He enjoyed gardening and sharing his crops with everyone he could. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 6 Brothers: Benton, Virgil, Gerstle, Elbert, Ray, and Thurman Tidwell. Survivors include 1 Son: Irving Tidwell of Dayton, OH; 4 Daughters: Janet Tincher, Vickie Tidwell, Connie Tidwell, and Marsha Tidwell, all of Dayton, OH; 13 Grandchildren; 31 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Half-Brother: Jeff Tidwell of Hilham, TN; and 1 Half-Sister: Viola Allen of Hilham, TN.
