Martha L. Scantland

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha L. Scantland, 75, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Peek Cemetery in the Harmony community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3 P.M. - 9 P. M., and on Wednesday from 12 Noon until time of services. She passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at Mabry Health Care Center in Gainesboro, TN. She was born January 6, 1937, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Claud Daws and Arie B. Daws. On July 22, 1957, she was married to George Ed Scantland, who survives. She was a factory worker, and a member of the Burristown Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 5 Brothers: Austin, James Vesper, Claudine, Lewis, and Bobby Daws. Survivors include her Husband: George Ed Scantland of Gainesboro, TN; and 1 Brother: Elmer (Faye) Dawes of Gainesboro, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro.
