Marion Hopkins

Funeral services for Mr. Marion Hopkins, 88, of Baxter, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, June 14, 2019, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Brown and Hopkins Cemetery in the New Salem community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Friday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at his residence. He was born November 9, 1930, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Robert Lee Hopkins and Mary Susan Hopkins. On January 18, 1953, he was married to Betty Hopkins, who survives. He worked as a farmer and logger, and was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Grandchildren: Brad Hopkins and Jarrett Hopkins; and 3 Brothers: Joe Hopkins, Louis Morgan Hopkins, and Edwin Lee Hopkins. Survivors include his Wife: Betty Hopkins of Baxter, TN; 2 Sons: Robert (Pat) Hopkins of the Shiloh community of Jackson County, TN, and Larry Hopkins of Baxter, TN; 2 Daughters: Jo Ann (Danny) Garrison and Gail (Gerald) Meadows, all of the Shiloh community of Jackson County, TN; 7 Grandchildren: Susan Ragland, Angie (Alan) Byers, Daniel (Christie) Garrison, Larry Hopkins, Jr., April (Starbuck) Hunt, Tiffany Burgess, and Nicki (Paul) Dailey; 18 Great Grandchildren; 1 Brother: Charles (Reba) Hopkins of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Sister: Betty Brown of the Shiloh community of Jackson County, TN; and Special Niece and Caregiver: Alesia Bybee of Gainesboro, TN.
