Funeral services for Mr. Marion Alvis Robins, 86, of the New Salem community of Jackson County, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, August 24, at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends Monday from 5 - 9 P.M., Tuesday from noon - 9 P.M., and Wednesday from 9 A.M. until time of services at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Mr. Robins passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2005, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born June 5, 1919, in Double Springs, Alabama, to the late Tom Robins and Rhoda Able Baldy Robins. On July 4, 1946, he was married to the late Grace Wilmoth Robins, who passed away on March 11, 2001. Mr. Robins was retired from the Cookeville Planning Mill. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a fan of the Country Dreamers Band. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Jim Corbin. Survivors include 1 Son & Daughter-in-Law: Jerry and Darlene Robbins of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Mike and Eva Ingram of Gainesboro, TN; Jerry Robins, Jr. of Clarksville, TN; and Rachel Robbins of Gainesboro, TN; and 2 Great-Grandchildren: Kane Ingram and Madison Robbins Bro.
