Funeral services for Marilyn Underwood, 53, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, May 9, 2016, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Smith Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Monday from 12 Noon until time of services. She passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2016, at NHC Healthcare of Cookeville, TN. She was born August 11, 1962, in Detroit, MI, to the late Robert Benton Underwood and June Pippin Underwood. She was an appliance factory worker, and a member of the Zion Church of Christ. Survivors include 2 Brothers: Ben (Anita) Underwood of Bloomington Springs, TN, and James Underwood of Sparta, TN; 2 Nephews: Joseph (Deanna) Underwood of Sparta, TN, and Jared (Jackie) Underwood of Bloomington Springs, TN; 2 Nieces: Julie (Luke) Wilken of Silver Point, TN, and Jana Underwood Hare of Lexington, KY; and 10 Great Nieces and Nephews: Taylor Underwood, Rhett Underwood, Jennifer Maynard, Jessica Maynard, Shane Maynard, Jordan Underwood, Josie Underwood, Levi Wilken, Jenna Wilken, and Lyza Wilken. Bro. Ted Gaw, Bro. Dale Crossman, and Bro. John Anderson will officiate at the services.
