Marilyn "Merle" Brown

Funeral services for Mrs. Marilyn "Merle" Brown, 60, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Hensley Cemetery in the Freewill community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Tuesday from 9 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born January 12, 1957, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Hollis Lee Robinson and Hazel Robinson. On May 25, 1979, she was married to James Edward Brown, who survives. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Church of Christ at Freewill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Lloyd Robinson; Paternal Grandparents: Lon and Frances Robinson; and Maternal Grandparents: Quitman and Margie Hensley. Survivors include her Husband: James Edward Brown of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Brothers: Gary Robinson and Estle Robinson, both of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Brother-in-Law and Sister-in-Law: Roy and Denise Brown of Gainesboro, TN; Uncles and Aunts: C.D. (Janice) Robinson, Alton Mayberry, and Fred "Skew" (Willene) Heady; Carroll "Stick" (Carlene) Hensley, Doice Mayberry, Moydene Robinson, and Loretta Judd; 3 Nephews: Kevin Brown, Justin Robinson, and Jared Robinson; and 4 Nieces: Kristy Brown, Jackie Miller, Tish Robinson, and Amber Jacobs. Several great nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Wayne Crossman, Bro. Nathan Miller, and Bro. Alan Judd will officiate at the services.
