Funeral services for Marie Scott, 79, of the Harmony community of Jackson County, TN, will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 3 P.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Woodland Cemetery in Dayton, OH, on Monday, September 20, 2021, at 12 Noon. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 Noon until time of services. She passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at her residence. She was born October 8, 1941, in Big Stone Gap, VA, to the late Walter Swiney and Bessie Marie Mullins Swiney. On October 12, 1957, she was married to Bill Scott, who survives. She was a housewife, and a member of the Pentecostal Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Grandchild: Richie; 1 Great Grandchild: Elizabeth; and 1 Brother: Walter Swiney, Jr. Survivors include her Husband: Bill Scott of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Sons: Billy Joe Scott of Dayton, OH, Danny Scott of FL, and Johnny Scott of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Debbie McIntosh of Riverside, OH; 1 Sister: Patricia Galloway of Big Stone Gap, VA; Grandchildren: Brent, Amber, Billy, Katie, Rachael, Sarah, John, and Brandi; and 15 Great Grandchildren. Elise Henley will officiate at the services.
