Graveside services for Mrs. Marie Scott, 91, of Cookeville, TN, and formerly of Gainesboro, TN will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday, May 1, 2015 at the Scott--Red Hill Cemetery in the Fairview community of Jackson County, TN. Visitation will be on Friday from 10 A.M. until time to leave for the cemetery at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. She passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at her residence in Cookeville, TN. She was born January 19, 1924 in Jackson County, TN, to the late Dave and Eller Pryor. She was married to the late Lonzo C. Scott, who passed away on November 25, 2002. She was a homemaker, a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and loved everyone. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 3 Sisters; 2 Daughters: Betty Scott and Faye Upchurch; 1 Son: Tommy Lloyd Scott; and 2 Grandsons: Larry Ealey and Eric Upchurch. She is survived by 1 Son: Billy Ray Scott of Cookeville, TN; 2 Daughters: Louise Morgan and Margaret Conner, both of Cookeville, TN; 16 Grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by many other family and friends whom she loved and who loved her. Rev. Ed Shaver will officiate at the services.
