Funeral services for Marie Reece, 67, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, December 30, 2019, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery in the Flynns Lick community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Monday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Friday, December 27, 2019, at NHC Health Care Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born July 17, 1952, in Jackson County, TN, to the late John D. Jones and Hallis Locke Jones. On October 14, 1972, she was married to the late Joe G. Reece, who passed away August 21, 2015. She was retired from Nielsen, and a member of the Liberty Church of Christ in Granville, TN. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: Haskel Ray Jones, Houston Clay Jones, and James Mack Jones; and 1 Sister: Shirley Mathis. Survivors include 1 Sister: Pat (Jackie) Hale of Cookeville, TN; Special Caregiver: Leslie Cagle of Cookeville, TN; 2 Nephews; 5 Nieces; and several great nieces and great nephews.
