Marian Brier

Mrs. Marian Brier, 94, of Livingston, Tennessee, and formerly of Jackson County, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2009, at Livingston Regional Hospital in Livingston, TN. The family has chosen cremation, with a memorial service to be held at a later time in Iowa. She was born September 14, 1914, in Muscatine, Iowa, to the late Charles Grant Fisher and Laura Eva Dickerson Fisher. On August 15, 1931, she was married to the late John "Jack" Brier. She was a homemaker, and attended The River Community Church in Cookeville, TN. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: John E. Brier, Jr.; 2 Brothers: Lyle Fisher and Raymond Fisher; and 3 Sisters: Sylvia Davis, Lottie Paetz, and Gertrude Weggen. Survivors include 1 Daughter: Laurie (DaWayne) Barber of Gainesboro, TN; 5 Grandchildren: Robbie (Ron) Stinnett, Gary (Carol) Brier, Robert Lord, Brad (Tammy) Lord, and Brian (Charity) Barber; 2 Step-Grandchildren: Scott (Ellie) Barber and Kevin (Christine) Barber; 9 Great-Grandchildren; 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren; and 6 Step-Great-Grandchildren.
