Margie Allen Hamlet

Funeral services for Mrs. Margie Allen Hamlet, 73, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, August 4, at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, Tennessee. The family will receive friends Thursday from 11 A.M. - 9 P. M. and Friday from 9 A.M. until time of services at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Mrs. Hamlet passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2006, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born August 5, 1932, in Jackson County to the late Hickman Allen and Alice Haney Allen. On May 10, 1947, she was married to the late B A Hamlet, who passed away on September 8, 2005. Mrs. Hamlet was a former employee of the Jackson County Sheriff's Department. She was a member of the Dudney's Hill Church of Christ. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Marlin Allen and Henry Lee Allen; and 1 Sister: Louise Ramsey. Survivors include 1 Son and Daughter-in-Law: Robert Clay & Linda Hamlet of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Grandson: Barry Hamlet of Gainesboro, TN; Special Nephew and his wife: Johnny & Rita Hamlet; Special Friends: Pat Jones and Randy Way; Special niece and dearest to her heart and her sons: Melissa Crabtree, Nolan, 2 Brothers and 1 Sister-in- Law: Morgan & Louise Allen of Cookeville, TN, and Johnny Hugh Allen of Sparta, TN.
