Malcolm Goolsby

Mr. James Malcolm Goolsby was born January, 14, 1928 in Clay County, TN and he passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at his residence at the age of 93. He was the son of Wade Mitchell and Dona Dailey Goolsby. He was a mechanic and owner of B & M Service Station. Mr. Goolsby was affiliated with the Church of God. He was married on July 25, 1953 to Joyce Ann Wilson Goolsby. He was preceded in death by parents, two grandsons, Jason and Casey Goolsby, two son-in-laws, Ray Dailey and Audney Keith; two sisters, Rosa Lee and Lizzie Dee; seven brothers, Fred, Ed, Lawrence, Leland, Ralph, Earl and Elmer Goolsby. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Goolsby of Celina, sons, Bill (Linda) Goolsby of Gainesboro and Dan Goolsby of Celina; daughters, Betty Dailey of Celina, Barbara West of Livingston and Sharon Keith of Gainesboro; brother, Benton (Pauline) Goolsby of Gainesboro; sister, Earlene (Estus) Pennington of Celina; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Special friends, Troy Stafford along with other relatives and many friends also survive. Visitation will be on Friday, Feb. 12, 2021 4-8 pm and on Saturday 11 am till 1 pm. Funeral services will be on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 1 pm in the Chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Doc Hall Cemetery in Clay County, TN. Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. 931-268-1550.
