Maidy Moody

Funeral services for Mrs. Maidy Moody, 77, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Sunday, January 6, 2019, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Poplar Springs Cemetery in Overton County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 P.M. - 6 P.M., and Sunday from 11 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018, at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN. She was born February 3, 1941, in Gainesboro, TN, to the late H.H. Scantland and Ova Scantland. On February 27, 1968, she was married to the late L.C. Moody, who passed away August 5, 2009. She was a factory worker, and a member of the Fairview Free Methodist Church. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 3 Sisters: Lois Lee, Betty Merlene Brown, and Ann Wilson. Survivors include 1 Daughter: Nicki (Seth) McMasters of Cookeville, TN; 2 Grandsons: Gabriel Evan McMasters and Liam Conner McMasters; 1 Granddaughter: Adalyn Grace Lee; 2 Brothers: Harold (Shary) Scantland and Randy (Janet) Scantland, all of Ohio; and 3 Sisters: Carolyn (Scott) Taulbee of Ohio, Wanda Wilson of Goodlettsville, TN, and Brenda (Bruce) Auberson of Livingston, TN.
