Funeral services for Miss Lynda C. Phillips, 47, of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, October 24, 2007, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Smith Chapel Cemetery in Putnam County. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11 A.M. - 9 P.M. and Wednesday from 9 A.M. until time of services. Miss Phillips passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2007, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She was born February 29, 1960, in Cookeville, TN, to Myrtle Scott Phillips and the late Thurman Phillips. She was a respiratory therapist at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was a member of the Church of Christ, and a special person who touched the lives of many. She was a creative person, enjoying many crafts. She was a graduate of Jackson County High School, and attended David Lipscomb University. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her Maternal Grandparents: Morgan Lee and Mamie Scott; Paternal Grandparents: Buren and Mary Ethel Young Phillips; 2 Aunts and 2 Uncles. Survivors include her mother: Myrtle Scott Phillips of Cookeville, TN; longtime pet companion: Biscuit; 2 Sisters: Joyce Hunter of Hopkinsville, KY, and Susan Wilton and fianc, John Pearson of Cookeville, TN; 3 Nephews: Jason Wilton, Daniel and Ben Hunter; and 1 Brother-in-Law: Ken Hunter of Cookeville, TN.
