Lura N. Collier

Funeral services for Mrs. Lura N. Collier, 82, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Collier family cemetery in Granville, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Wednesday from 9 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at the Masters Health Care Center in Algood, TN. She was born March 17, 1930 in Robertson County, Tennessee to the late Harvy Haskel Huff and Bennie Frizzell Huff. She was married to the late Donald C. Collier, who passed away on March 13, 2003. She was a homemaker and a former cook at the Flynn's Lick Elementary School. She was a member of the Big Branch Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: Virgil Paul Huff, Henry James Huff, and Robert L. Huff; and 2 Sisters: Mary Jane Collier and Minnie Bell Huff. Survivors include 4 Sons and 2 Daughters-in-law: Charles (Ann) Collier and Jackie Collier, both of Gainesboro, TN; Bill (Nancy) Collier of Baxter, TN; and Robert Taylor Collier of Cookeville, TN; 1 Daughter and Son-in-law: Penny (Danny) Locke of Gainesboro, TN; 6 Grandchildren: Casie (Ron) Harris of Cookeville, TN; Amy and Taylor Collier of Baxter, TN; Danny A. (Lindsay) Locke of Gainesboro, TN; Donald Jordan (Paige) Locke of Gainesboro, TN; Shawana Bartlett of Gainesboro, TN; 8 Great-Grandchildren: Macy, Haylee, and Mollie Locke; Elyzabeth Nevada Collier; Hollie (Kyle) Coburn; Matthew Harris; Danni Brooke Locke; and Makenzie Abigail James and 1 Great-Great Grandchild: Makenzie Brooke Coburn.
