Funeral services for Mr. Luke E. Stafford, 73, of Gainesboro, TN will be held at 12 Noon on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Tuesday from 8 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born April 7, 1941, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Charlie Herd Stafford and Rose Lena Stafford. He worked in construction and factory work, and retired after 20 years at Nielsen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Sons: Jeffery Neal and Gregory Edgar Stafford; 2 Brothers: Billy "Rastus" Stafford and Ray L. Stafford; and the Mother of his children: Linda Sue Biggs. Survivors include 1 Son: Douglas (Luanne) Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Audra (Todd) Owsley of Burkesville, KY; 4 Grandchildren: Trent and Seth Owsley of Burkesville, KY, Ciara (J.W.) Jones of Gainesboro, TN, and Jaedyn Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Great Grandchild: James Easton Jones; 2 Sisters: Sue Walker of Smithville, TN, and Sarah (Paul) Herren of Silver Point, TN; and Extended Family: Jo Helen and Rachel Heady, Sydney and Jacob Heady, Austin Johnson, Corey Stafford, and Kandice Roland. Bro. James Bybee will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to help with funeral expenses by contacting the funeral home.
