Lucy Stafford

Funeral services for Mrs. Lucy Stafford, 84, of the Dudneys Hill community of Jackson County, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, October 1, at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Saturday from 9 A.M. until time of services at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Mrs. Stafford passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2005, at Bethesda Health Care Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born June 3, 1921, in Jackson County, Tennessee, to the late John Lowe Stafford and Jennie C. Copeland Stafford. On October 18, 1934, she was married to the late Clifford B. Stafford, who passed away on October 17, 1970. Mrs. Stafford was a homemaker, and was a member of the Dudneys Hill Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Lilly Stafford; 2 Infant Sons: Joe Edward and Junior Ray Stafford; 2 Grandchildren: Mark and Michael Stafford; 1 Great-Grandchild: Meagan Cassetty; 4 Brothers; and 5 Sisters. Survivors include 2 Sons: Jimmy C. Stafford of Baxter, TN; and Hollis Lee Stafford of Cookeville, TN; 5 Daughters: Juanita Brown, Phyllis Jewell Haney, Marie Owens and husband Morte, and Karen Cassetty and husband Kelly, all of Gainesboro, TN; and Kathy Ledbetter and husband Rex of Cookeville, TN; 2 Brothers: Elmer Stafford of Red Boiling Springs, TN; and P.J. Stafford of Cookeville, TN; 12 Grandchildren: Stephen and Malinda Brown, Ronald B. Haney, Shanna Pippin, Misti Greer, Kristy Boles, Robin Perrin, April Petty, Holly Stafford, Sherri McCormick, and Danny and Kevin Stafford; 17 Great- Grandchildren; and 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
