Lucille Pryor Brown

Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille Pryor Brown, 77, of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday, December 17, 2010, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Cookeville, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3 P.M. - 8 P. M., and on Friday from 11 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at NHC Health Care Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born August 26, 1933, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Volentine Pryor and Velar Lynn Pryor. On December 25, 1953, she was married to H.S. Brown, who survives. She was a retired factory worker and homemaker. She was a member of the Burristown Assembly of God, and attended Trinity Assembly in Algood, TN. She was a devoted Christian and dearly loved her family. She enjoyed cooking, and loved flowers and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: Arvil Pryor, Willie Pryor, and Encil Pryor; and 3 Sisters: Neely Pryor, Dora Rector, and Iva D. Parrott. Survivors include her Husband: H.S. Brown of Cookeville, TN; 1 Daughter: Jeanette (Randy) Hansel of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Granddaughter: Rebecca Hansel of Nashville, TN; 1 Brother: Harse Pryor of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Sister: Magdalene Allen of Hilham, TN; and 2 Special Friends: Gary and Ann Barker. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Jim Moore and Bro. Glen Burks will officiate at the services.
