Lucille Hix Johnson

Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille Hix Johnson, 90, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in the Pleasant Hill community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Wednesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. Mrs. Johnson passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2009, at NHC Health Care Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born August 2, 1919, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Mack and Elizabeth Hall Hix. She was married to the late Donald Johnson. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Sugar Creek Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Bobby Johnson; 3 Grandchildren: Stephanie Johnson, Tommy Johnson, and Scott Johnson; 2 Brothers: Gurstle Hix and Robert Hix; 1 Sister: Louise Hix; and 1 Daughter-in-Law: Sue Johnson. Survivors include 4 Sons: James (Helen Sue) Johnson, Howard Johnson, and Ralph Johnson, all of Gainesboro, TN, and Jerry Johnson of Florida; 1 Daughter-in-Law: Judy Johnson of Ohio; 8 Grandchildren: Steve Johnson, Shelia Johnson, Randy Johnson, Sandy Johnson, Teresa Dillahay, Christopher Johnson, Melinda Edmonds, and Tonya Underwood; 8 Great-Grandchildren: Ryan, Jeremy, Crisa, Zack, Amanda, Will, Thomas, and Sahshi; and several Great- Great-Grandchildren.
