Lucille Chaffin

Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille Chaffin, 93, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Smith Chapel Cemetery in Putnam County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Wednesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2014, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born April 23, 1921, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Arthur and Lassie Warren. She was married to the late Everett Chaffin. She was a woman of many talents, working as a real estate broker and seamstress, and as a "Rosie the Riveter" during the war effort. She was an ordained Bible teacher, and a member of Trinity Assembly Church of God in Algood, TN. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 4 Brothers; and 1 Granddaughter: Kim Chaffin. Survivors include 2 Sons: Richard (Delores) Chaffin of Murfreesboro, TN, and Randy (Janet) Chaffin of Cookeville, TN; 1 Daughter: Retta Holman of Cookeville, TN; 6 Grandchildren: Kimberly Chaffin, Randy (Sheila) Chaffin, Jr., Tammy (Bryan) Fugate, Roxanne (Kevin) Thompson, Richard (Angela) Chaffin, and Jesse Holman; 1 Sister: Jo Ellen Williams of Ohio; 13 Great Grandchildren; and 8 Great Great Grandchildren.
