L.T. Sneed

Funeral services for Mr. L.T. Sneed, 71, of Whitleyville, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, February 1, 2015, at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Anderson and Son Memorial Park in Lafayette, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 3 P.M. - 9 P.M., Saturday from 1 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Sunday from 12 Noon until time of services. He passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. He was born April 14, 1943, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Thomas J. Sneed and Lizzie Carver Sneed. On January 8, 1965, he was married to Marie Ann Newberry Sneed, who survives. He was a road grader operator with the Jackson County Highway Department, and a member of the North Springs Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 Brothers: Everette, Ward Gray, and Stanley Sneed and 2 Infant Brothers; and 2 Sisters: Dorthula Vanderpool and an Infant Sister. Survivors include His Wife: Marie Sneed of Whitleyville, TN; 1 Son: Barry Sneed of Whitleyville, TN; 1 Daughter: Lisa (Mark) Bartley of Red Boiling Springs, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Jesse Bartley, Alexis Bartley, and Cason Sneed; 2 Brothers: Vestle (Beatrice) Sneed of the Russell Hill community of Macon County, TN; and Bill Sneed of Whitleyville, TN; 2 Sisters: Georgia Stafford of Whitleyville, TN; and Clementine Witcher of Indianapolis, Indiana; and a Special Niece: Mashell Sisco. Bro. O'Neal Huffines will officiate at the services. Memorial donations may be made to the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort by contacting the business office of the funeral home.
