Lovena Davis Wilson

Lovena “Cricket” Davis Wilson was born July 30, 1924, in Gainesboro, TN and she passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at the Waters of Gainesboro, at the age of 100.

She was the daughter of Mack Caruthers and Minnie Caruthers. Cricket worked for 40 years in local shirt factory and was a member of the McCoinsville Church of Christ.

Cricket is preceded in death by her parents, husband: Robert Davis, brother: Luther Caruthers, Hillis Caruthers, Clure Caruthers, Dillard Caruthers; sisters: Rosa Hollaway, Ruby Richardson; grandchildren, Stanley Davis and Robert Ward.

Survivors include her son Robert Earl (Phyllis) Davis of Gainesboro; daughter: Darlene (Wayne) Ward of Gainesboro; grandchildren: Nickie Davis of Byrdstown, Rebecca (James) Wimberly of Gainesboro, Chris (Susan) Klamm of Carthage: great grandchildren, Starr Davis Lee, Caleb Wimberly, Emma Wimberly, Matthew, Molly, John Jessa; special granddaughter Emily Allen, and several nieces on nephews.

Crickets Family would like to thank the special staff and CNA at the Waters of Gainesboro and Gentiva Hospice for their loving care that was provided for her.

Memorial donations can be made toward the Smith Jackson Youth Camp or Happy Haven Home.

Visitation will begin on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, from 4 pm to 8 pm and again on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 11 am until time of services. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in John L. Clark Cemetery.
