Louis "Gene" Spivey,

Funeral services for Mr. Louis "Gene" Spivey, Sr., 81, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Mayberry Family Cemetery in the Freewill community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017, at his residence. He was born May 1, 1935, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Louis Markum Spivey and Rosie Spivey. He worked in steel manufacturing maintenance, and was a member of the Church of Christ. He enjoyed playing music and riding motorcycles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son: Anthony "Tony" Spivey; 3 Brothers: Sammie Spivey, Ralph Spivey, and Jimmy Audrey Spivey; and 1 Sister: Christine Hollows. Survivors include 1 Son: J.R. (Lynn) Spivey of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters: Edna (Billy C.) Mayberry of Gainesboro, TN, and Chesta (Bobby) Loftis of Gainesboro, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Laura Beth Mayberry, Chase Loftis, Chance Loftis, and Casey Slater; 1 Great Granddaughter: Haley Baggett; and his Special Friend: Faye Goolsby.
