Louella Hix Spivey

Funeral services for Mrs. Louella Hix Spivey, 107, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and on Wednesday from noon until time of services. She passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2011, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born July 7, 1903, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Haywood Hix and Nora Webb Hix. She was married to the late Channie B. Spivey, who passed away on January 20, 1997. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Upper Cumberland Presbyterian Church in the Haydenburg community. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Daughters: Edna Whitaker and Willodean Lawson; 1 Grandson: Danny Williford; 3 Brothers and 2 Sisters. Survivors include 2 Sons: William Sidney Spivey of Gainesboro, TN and John D. (Helen) Spivey of Nashville, TN; 2 Daughters: Marie (Jose) Betancourt of Gallatin, TN; and Robbie Upchurch of Nashville, TN;c 9 Grandchildren, several Great-Grandchildren; and several Great Great Grandchildren.
