Loren D. Kinney

A celebration of life with full military honors for Mr. Loren D. Kinney, 70, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2017, at 5 P.M. at the New Hope Baptist Church in Gainesboro, TN. The family has chosen cremation. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday, January 15, 2017, from 3 P.M. - 5 P.M. He passed away January 2, 2017, at the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN. He was born August 6, 1946 in Ohio, to the late Harry L. Kinney and Fanicon Kinney. He was married to Cynthia Lynn Kinney, who survives. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a farmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Infant Son: Dale Kinney and 1 Brother: Kenneth Kinney. Survivors include his Wife: Cynthia Lynn Kinney of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sons: Rodney Kinney of Whitleyville, TN and Scott Kinney of Celina, TN; 5 Grandchildren: Cassie, Rebecca, Casen, Callie, and Jorden Kinney; 1 Great-Grandchild: Aaliyah Collins; 4 Brothers: Dan, Terry, Rick, and Bob Kinney; and 1 Sister: Susan Newport. Bro. Randy Heady will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Hope Baptist Church bus ministry by contacting the funeral home.
