Funeral services for Mrs. Lora Bailey, 81, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and on Saturday from 12 Noon until time of services. She passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born September 4, 1935, on Poston Ridge in Jackson County, TN, to the late Daniel Poston and Annie Mai Poston. She was married to James E. Bailey on October 29, 1956, at the Big Bottom Church of Christ by Bro. Wallace Hawkins. She was a homemaker, and a wonderful cake decorator. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and Christian. She was an active member of the McCoinsville Church of Christ, and was devoted to her family, church, and church family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Brother: D.B. Poston. Survivors include her Husband: James E. Bailey of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Ronnie (Sandy) Bailey of Baxter, TN; 2 Daughters: Anita Bailey of Calhoun, TN, and Carolyn Bailey of Lebanon, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Erin and Nathaniel Clancy, Matthew Bailey, and Austin Bailey; 1 Step-Grandson: Chase Duncan; 1 Brother: Harlin (Jo) Poston of Gainesboro, TN; and 1 Niece: Linda (Eddie) Vantrease of Lebanon, TN.
