Lonnie Dale Spivey

Lonnie Dale Spivey, 64, of Gainesboro, TN passed away surrounded with love by his family on Monday, May 21, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born April 30, 1954 in Gainesboro, TN. Lonnie was an incredible husband, father, and friend to many. He worked for Highways Inc. for 34 years. He believed firmly that you worked hard for what you wanted. In his spare time, he enjoyed taking care of his horses, playing guitar, collecting guns and knives, and spending time with his family. Lonnie leaves behind his beloved wife and best friend, Martha Spivey; Sons Jason Spivey and wife April, Anthony Spivey, Brandon Spivey and fiance Erica, Steven Spivey, and Jason Frasier and fiance Alex; Daughters Paige Buck and husband Bobby and Macy Smit and husband Derrick; mother Ruth Carmack; sister Betty Sue McKee and husband James; brother-in-law Roland Heady; Grandchildren Alyssa, AJ, Lilly, Levi, Marley, Allibeth, Colton, Averie, Tyler, Cameron, Carter, and Eva; Great-grandchild Liam. Lonnie was preceded in death by his father Winton Spivey, brother Harold Spivey, and sister Joann Heady and numerous aunts and uncles. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 4 to 8 P.M. and Friday, May 25, 2018 from 10 A.M. until 1 P.M.. The celebration of life services will be held at 1 P.M. at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Brother Jimmy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
