Loni Hix

Lenora "Loni" Hix was born July 23, 1947, in San Antonio, TX, and she passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center at the age of 75.

She was the daughter of the late Manuel Gonzales Gonzalez and Antonia Moreno Gonzalez. She was a retired medical transcriptionist, and attended the Bangham Heights Baptist Church. She was a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Brother: Sam; Special Sons: Jerry Lynn Whaley and Melvin Jackson; and Former Husband: Joe Whaley; favorite aunt, Amelia Maldonado and former mother in law, Edna Mai Hix.

Survivors include her Son: J R Hix of San Antonio, TX; Daughter: Shawna (Rob) Finegan of Cookeville, TN; Special Daughters: Debbie Whaley of Midland, TX, Rhonda (Keith) Dietderich of Midland, TX, and Renee (Richard) Gregory of San Antonio, TX; Sister-in-law: Karen Gonzalez of San Antonio, TX; Father and Step Mother of her children: Bobby and Sian Hix of Gainesboro, TN; Grandchildren: Justin Hix, Zach Hix, Brian (Rachel) Houston, Miranda Mai Godwin; Special Grandchildren: Bobby (Michelle), Mark, Rick, Jennifer, Emily, Jerry Wayne; Great Grandchildren: Aubrey Mai and Calliope Rose; several other great grandchildren, other relatives, and many friends; pet dogs: Daisy and Sophie; and her baby kitty Aggie.

The family has chosen cremation, with services to be held at a later date.
