Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Holly Nicholson, 82, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, December 2, 2018, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Smyrna Cemetery in Cookeville, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12 Noon until time of services. She passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born September 13, 1936, in Metropolis, IL, to the late Milburn Joseph Holly and Ruby Sullivan Holly. She was married to the late Foye John Nicholson. She was a caregiver, and enjoyed the services of Unity Church. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Sons: Edward Helfen and Michael Helfen; 1 Daughter: Betty Green; and 1 Brother: Haldean Holly. Survivors include 3 Sons: Joe (Karen) Helfen of Virginia Beach, VA, Foye Nicholson of Cookeville, TN, and Ivan Nicholson of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Goldie Tovar of Tucson, AZ; 16 Grandchildren; and 14 Great Grandchildren.
