Lois Bostic

Graveside services for Mrs. Lois Bostic, 76, of Baxter, TN and formerly of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, October 28, 2013, at the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. There will be no visitation or services at the funeral home. She passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born May 17, 1937 in Gainesboro, TN to the late Logan Raines and Avo Netherton Raines. On January 23, 1958, she was married to the late James G. Bostic, Sr. who passed away on November 13, 1991. Mrs. Bostic was known by all for her kind and gentle spirit, to her children for her caring, loving, and nurturing nature. They are all comforted in knowing she will have a home in heaven where she will be able to hear the song of birds at last. She was a homemaker and a member of the Dudneys Hill Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by 5 Brothers: Leon, Joe, Marshall, Logan Jr., and Mark Raines; and 3 Sisters: Bonnie Bowman, Lugenia Vaughn, and Myrtle Malone. Survivors include 1 Son: James G. Bostic Jr.; of Cookeville, TN; 3 Daughters: Patricia Wylie of Cookeville, TN; Lisa and husband, Robert Lynch of Baxter, TN; and Teresa Bostic of Cookeville, TN; 1 Granddaughter: Brandy Bostic of Gainesboro, TN and 2 Great-Grandsons: Matthew and Mason.
