Lois Asberry Hamlet

Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Asberry Hamlet, 82, of Whitleyville, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Thursday from 8 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN. She was born July 8, 1932, in Clay County, TN, to the late Bedford Asberry and Mary Crawford Asberry. She was married to the late Willie B. "Bill" Hamlet, who passed away April 3, 2003. She was a cook at Jackson County Hospital for 36 years, and a member of the Union Hill Church of Christ in Clay County, TN. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Arlie Asberry and Rue Asberry; and 2 Sisters: Ruby Asberry Lancaster and Oval Asberry. Survivors include 3 Brothers: Arnold Asberry of Red Boiling Springs, TN, H.G. Asberry of Moss, TN, and Garry (Beverly) Asberry of Goodlettsville, TN; and 2 Sisters: Opal Asberry Tucker of Monterey, TN, and Onita Asberry Rich of Whitleyville, TN.
