Funeral services for Mr. Lloyd L. Carwile, 89, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, October 9, 2010, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery in the New Hope community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 P.M. - 9 P. M., and on Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN. He was born January 7, 1921, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Leslie Carwile and Idella Thrasher Carwile. On July 5, 1941, he was married to Lillie Carwile, who survives. He was a building contractor and mason. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Judy Carwile Smith; 3 Brothers: Layton, James, and Leslie Paul Carwile; and 1 Sister: Hazel Stafford. Survivors include his Wife: Lillie Carwile of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sons: Jack (Brenda) Carwile of Gainesboro, TN, and Jerrold Carwile of Gainesboro, TN; 5 Grandchildren: Donna (Stephen) York of Cookeville, TN, Tammy (Lance) Campbell of Panama City, FL, Ginger Carwile of Gainesboro, TN, Johnny Smith of Louisiana, and Jill Buck of Gainesboro, TN; 11 Great- Grandchildren: Tyler, Austin, Bronson, and Connor York; Grayson, Riley, and Colin Campbell; Jessica Smith; Cody, Katie, and Kyle Buck; and 1 Sister: Jewell (Sim) Barlow of Gainesboro, TN.
