Lisa Johnson

Lisa Johnson was born April 2, 1959, in Jackson County, TN, and she passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at her residence in Cookeville, TN, at the age of 64.

She was the daughter of the late Dr. Jack Johnson and Christine Smith Johnson. She was a resident of Cookeville, and formerly of Gainesboro, TN.

Survivors include her Brothers: Jerry (Karen) Johnson of Vancouver, Canada, and Don (Laura) Johnson of Cookeville, TN; Sister: Jackie Haynes of Cookeville, TN; Nieces and Nephews: Paige (Keegan) Smith, Grey (Rebecca) Johnson, Scott (Liz) Haynes, Brooke (David) Matthews, Lindsey (Seth) Russell, and Olivia (Jason) Hammons; and a host of great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the many compassionate caregivers that Lisa had throughout her life. They would also like to express their deep appreciation to those who have provided special medical, therapeutic, and comfort services to Lisa. These services were provided in a very kind and respectful manner.

Lisa loved everyone, and in return, others were encouraged to care dearly for her. She particularly enjoyed being around her nieces and nephews, especially when they were babies. Babies always made her smile.

There was something special about Lisa’s eyes. When Lisa gazed at you, you could see an illumination of love, kindness, gentleness, and feel an overwhelming sense of forgiveness. Her family feels blessed and thankful to God to have had this special angel in their lives.

Private interment will be held.
