Lionel Foster

Funeral services for Mr. Lionel (Lee) Foster, 71, of Antioch, Tennessee, will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, May 11, at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Byers Cemetery in the Center Grove community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 - 9 P.M and Thursday from 10 A.M. until time of services at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Mr. Foster passed away on Monday, May 8, 2006, at the Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born October 17, 1934, in DeKalb County to the late Willie Lee Foster & Ova Helm Foster. On April 8, 1963, he was married to Sally Mitchell Foster, who survives. Mr. Foster worked as an OS&D clerk, in trucking, & for 15 years with the State of Tennessee Employment Security. He was a member of the Church of Christ and served in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father- in-law: Harlan Mitchell; and his mother-in-law: Avie Mitchell. Survivors include his wife: Sally Mitchell Foster of Antioch, TN; 2 Sons and Daughters-in-Law: Doug & Tammy Foster of Murfreesboro, TN, and Derek & Tara Foster of Mobile, Alabama; and 5 Grandsons: Aaron & Austin Foster of Murfreesboro, TN, and Harrison, Conner, & Grant Foster of Mobile, Alabama. Other relatives and friends also survive. Weldon Rickman and Junior Grimes will officiate at the services.
