Linda L. Matthews

Linda L. Matthews was born on June 10, 1943 in Gainesboro, TN and she passed away at The Waters of Gainesboro on Monday, February 9, 2026 at the age of 82.

Linda was the daughter of Wilburn Odell Sisco and Nellie Cleo Law Sisco. She was a member of the Cubb Creek Church of Christ. She was a retired business cleaner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe Matthews who passed away on October 28, 1995; brothers, Dean, Bill and Ricky Sisco; sisters, Janie Hix, niece, Leann Sisco and nephew, Kyle Sisco.

Survived by: son, Bobby E. Matthews of Gainesboro TN; daughter Patty J. (Kenny L.) Ragland of Gainesboro TN; brothers Joe (Sandy) Sisco and Mike (Veronica) Sisco both of Gainesboro TN; sisters Sue Matthews, Nita Jones, Darlene (Rudolph) Smallwood and Ann Sisco all of Gainesboro TN; grandchildren Nathan (Brooklyn) Ragland and Savannah (Wesley) Porter both of Gainesboro TN; great grandchildren Wilder Porter and Owen Porter; Sister in laws, Joan Sisco and Jeanette Sisco both of Gainesboro and Brenda Sisco of FL.

Visitation will be on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026,10 am to 3 pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday February 12, 2026 at 3:00pm in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery.
