Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Fay Allen, 61, of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Thursday, January 1, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John Young Cemetery in the Shiloh community. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Thursday from 10 A.M until time of services. Mrs. Allen passed away on Monday, December 29, 2008, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born September 15, 1947, in Albertville, AL, to the late Azlee Murphy and Hazel Baldwin Murphy. On October 29, 1962, she was married to Joe Earl Allen, who survives. She was a housewife and mother. Survivors include her Husband: Joe Earl Allen of Cookeville, TN; 3 Sons and Daughters-in-Law: Gary (Karen) Allen, Kenny (Tammy) Allen, and James "Bo" (Shannon) Allen, all of Cookeville, TN; 2 Daughters and 1 Son-in-Law: Pamela (Steve) Trisdale of Baxter, TN, and Tammy Richardson of Cookeville, TN; 11 Grandchildren: Lacy Trisdale; Clint, Samantha, and Sonya Allen; Hayley Trisdale; Kayla, Brayden, and Bryson Allen; Jesse Richardson; Mason and Noah Richardson; 2 Great-Grandchildren: Kenan Allen and Tommy Trisdale; 1 Brother: Clint Lee Murphy of Lockport, IL; and 3 Sisters: JoAnn Durkiewiez of Lemont, IL, Darlene Callahan of Lockport, IL, and Dene Pierce of Centre, AL. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Pastor Ron Phillips will officiate at the services.
